St. Paul was in prison when he wrote these words, "I can do all things through him who strengthens me" (Phil. 4:13). Indeed, faith in the Lord enables us to accomplish difficult mission. In today's gospel, the disciples of Jesus lacked this faith so, they failed to drive out the demon inflicting the lunatic boy. If we say we can't do something, then we can't really do it. If we say we can, armed with great faith in God, it will surely come to pass. |
