Fraternal correction is motivated by love. Jesus, in today's gospel, enjoins us to tell another person his fault face-to-face. We do that always in the spirit of loving concern. The Lord wishes the sinner to be converted and live. Similarly, we should help a fellow change his erring ways and be transformed. We never condemn a sinner because we are sinners ourselves. We wish the good of another person. When that person goes astray, we help him find the way. |
