It is a paradox that Jesus who guides "our feet into the way of peace" becomes a source of division. Actually, it is not Jesus himself who divides people but people who either accept or reject his teachings. When people disagree among themselves because of faith or unbelief, the division takes place. A united humanity bound by a common belief is still a far cry. "Ut unum sint." That was the prayer of Jesus. When will we be ever one? |
