I struggle when I am hit by an avalanche of invitation. I wish I could bilocate to be present in every celebration. I know the inviting person is saddened when those invited do not show up. The parable of the wedding feast illustrates God's loving invitation to a fellowship with him. The Eucharist is his daily invitation. He is the host and we are his guests. How can we decline such Divine offer? He expects an affirmative response coupled with our active presence. |
