The recent Niyogyugan Festival in Quezon Province was a showcase of talents and performances all designed "to be seen." People from all walks of life flocked in Lucena City either to take a short glance or spend longer time watching. With a motive to be seen is a big No No in the area of piety. Jesus sternly rebuked the scribes and the Pharisees,"All their works are performed to be seen." We should make pious acts in privacy. Never for ostentatious display. |
