With our limited capacity to understand, we cannot completely fathom why God allows this pandemic crisis to happen in our own time. Jesus, in today's gospel, says, " You cannot "bear" them now." That verb which is "bastazo" in Greek is often used in the context of the passion. We can only understand this mystery with the help of the Spirit. This is why we need the constant guidance of the Spirit so that we may enter into the deep mystery of God and accept the fact that God's ways are not human ways. |
