When we do good, some people would hate us. Do good just the same. In today's gospel, Jesus allowed his disciples to eat on the Sabbath. He knew they were hungry. Some Pharisees jeered at him. They accused him of permitting what is unlawful on the Sabbath. Jesus remained undaunted. He even defended his disciples by referring to David. If we have clarity of purpose motivated by love, no matter what others say, no holds barred. |
