These words echo in my joyful heart, "You are truly blessed. Continue to be a blessing to others." Today's gospel speaks of blessedness or beatitudes. Spelled out by the Lucan gospel, these beatitudes are fewer than those of Matthew. However, it bears the same message of macarism [from Greek "makarios" which means "blessed or happy."]. Children of God, we are abundantly blessed. Let us be channels of blessing. |
