Have you experienced persecution in its varied forms? When the Lucan gospel was being put into writing, the early Christians were already being persecuted. The persecution has never stopped. It happens over and over again. Children "persecute" their parents for being "unfair." Students "persecute " their teachers for playing favorites. A Catholic persecutes his fellow for so much time spent for the church. When will persecutions ever end? Not in our own time. |
