When we encounter Jesus we become extraordinarily generous. Such was the disposition of Zaccheus after having been visited by the Lord. " Half of my possessions I shall give to the poor," he exclaimed. It's a pity that some people receive Jesus daily in the form of Eucharistic bread but remain self-centered. They encounter the Lord in their intimate prayers but refuse to help others. The latter's plea only falls on deaf ears. When we meet Jesus we have to be very generous. |
