A French writer once said, "God often VISITS us but most of the time we are not at home." In today's gospel, Jesus wept over Jerusalem because it did not recognize his VISITATION. The Hebrew word PAQAD refers to God's visitation bringing good news like the experience of Sarah. The people of Jerusalem did not listen to such good news. Their temple was completely smashed when the Romans besieged them. Daily God visits us. Let our hearts be open to receive him. |
