Full of grace! In Greek, it is "kecharitomene" which contains the word "charis" meaning "grace." Yes, the grace of God transformed Mary so that sin did not enter in her. That's what we celebrate today -- IMMACULATE CONCEPTION. On Dec. 8, 1854 Pope Pius IX in his decree "Ineffabilis Deus" solemnly declared that Mary, from the moment of her conception, was not tainted by the original sin. A singular privilege, all because she would be the MOTHER OF GOD. |
