Our Lady of Guadalupe whose feast day we celebrate today is the Mother of Life. She appeared to St. Juan Diego as an expectant mother. Her cincture became a sign of that. Today's gospel narrates how Mary's obedience led to her Divine Maternity. Believing in the words of the angel, Mary gave her joyful Fiat , thus becoming the Mother of the Incarnate Word. Let us honor Our Lady and thank her for her act of obedience which gave us our Savior. |
