Derived from the Latin "ob-audire," odedience requires listening. One cannot obey unless he hears it, unless he listens to it. St. Joseph was obedience personified. He did not speak. He only listened. And his prompt obedience saved Mary and the Child Jesus from dangers and life threat. The young Jesus, must have learned obedience from his foster father.. Let obedience be the rule in every home. It binds. It sustains. |
