Looking back makes us guilty. Looking forward makes us anxious. Looking up makes us strong. In today's gospel, Jesus raised his eyes to heaven, a gesture signifying that his attention is directed to his Father. During this lockdown, with knees bended and fingers crossed, let us gaze upon heaven and draw strength from the Father's protective care and redemptive love. |
