The Jesuits courageously proclaim, "We are sinners but we are called by the Lord." Levi aka "Matthew" could have uttered similar words. He levied taxes. He collaborated with the Romans. He was despised by all. But the Lord loved him. Jesus called him because the Lord came not to call the righteous but the sinners. We are sinners likewise. We collaborate with Satan. But the Lord never gives up. He calls us to follow him and tread the path of conversion. |
