There is one heart disease that cardiologists never discovered. In Greek it is called "skelokardia" which is translated "hardness of heart." The Pharisees incurred this disease. They valued the Sabbath law over man's well-being and even worse, they found ways to accuse Jesus. The Lord grieved at this cordial hardness. Aren't our hearts hardened, too? Many times we don't show compassion for an erring fellow. We refuse to forgive. Would that we were like Jesus, the God of mercy. |
