Someone must have rendered this song last Valentine’s Day, "Show me your smile and then, kiss me. Tell me 'you love me' again." This song reveals the longing of a beloved to receive a sign from the lover. In today's gospel, the Pharisees were seeking a heavenly sign from Jesus. That reflects our own tendency to demand a sign proving that there is God and that He cares for us. We don't need a sign. We need the grace to recognize God's workings in our lives. |
