Call it ambition. Call it obsession. Call it what you want but I call it love. The mother of James and John begged Jesus to "command that her sons sit at his right and left in the kingdom." Was she too ambitious? Or was she too loving? She cared for her sons. She wished them all the best. A mother is like that. Yes, mothers invariably want the best for their children. They firmly pray. They steadfastly hope. They love like no other. Such greatness! |
