His hour had not yet come. In the Johannine Theology, the "hour" is very important. It is Divinely appointed. The hour of Jesus that began in Cana is completed on the cross. No one can interfere with this hour. We have our human chronological time. But from the perspective of faith, there is the "kairos " or the timing of God. We surrender ourselves to this Divine timing. Only God holds and knows this. We simply say "YES." |
