The end of Lent is drawing near. It is high time we examine our journey and ask ourselves if we have born fruits along the way. Today's gospel says Jesus remained in "Ephraim," the person and place meaning "fruitful." Have we truly grown in prayer, fasting and almsgiving? Have we abstained not only from meat but also from hurting words? Would that we were transformed from indifference to active involvement, from selfishness to altruism, from hatred to love. |
