The cross of Christ is a school. It teaches us many lessons. One, death is the supreme act of self-giving. Two, the best symbol of love is the cross. Three, there is no crown if there is no cross. Four, through the cross we were saved by Jesus. Five, Mary was standing next to the crucified because she was actively participating in the drama of salvation enacted on the cross. Six, Jesus died that we may live. Seven, behind Good Friday, there is a joyful Easter Sunday. |
