Call a person by name and it makes a big difference in that person's life. It was when Jesus addressed "Mary" by name that she recognized the Risen Lord. Her sorrows turned into joy. We meet people whose names we have forgotten or we simply disregard. We, Filipinos, play safe by just calling people "Kuya, Ate, Tito, Tita." We don't exert efforts to know their real names. Jesus is so personal in dealing with us. He knows us and calls us by name. What a great consolation! |
