So great was God's love for the world. He gave His only Son. With that He could give everything else. Asked if she could donate a portion of her property to the Church, a bishop's mother said, "If I have given my only son, how can't I give a piece of land?" A great consolation-- God can give us anything we desire. He did not spare His only Son but gave Him for the salvation of humanity. Which should inspire us to be equally generous. |
