Perhaps if there is an option to shorten the formula of the sign of the cross, we will simply say "In the name of Love." After all, the Trinity is a communion of Love. The Father is the Lover. The Son is the Beloved. The Holy Spirit is Love. St. John affirms that out of love, the Father gave his only begotten Son. We can only radiate the Trinitarian communion if we have that love for one another. Whatever we do, wherever we are, we always act in the name of love. |
