Which matters most in planting? The seed or the soil? From the point of view of this Sunday's parable, the seed represents the word. It is always good and has all the potential to germinate. The unfruitfulness heavily depends on the the type of soil. The word is planted in our hearts. But what kind of heart do we have? Does it welcome the word, nourish it and allow it to grow and bear fruits? |
