The world says "Go." Jesus says "Come." When we find life burdensome and stressful, the world exhorts us to go to places. "Go to a shopping mall. Go to a beach. Go to your favorite restaurant." Jesus knows that we are tired and weary. Lovingly he says, " Come to me... and I will give you rest." We don't have to leave. We don't need to spend. Jesus invites us, " Come to me now." |
