It is human to view things from the perspective of justice but it is Divine to see them from the lens of mercy and generosity. Today's parable demonstrates the overflowing goodness of God. The "late" workers in the vineyard were the recipients of such generosity. In a world where compensation is simply proportionate to action, the gospel challenges us to give more and be extra generous. |
