Very recently there were a number of reports about robbery in churches. The unpreparedness of rectory household vis-a-vis sleepiness rendered the theft successful and unnoticed. With the imagery of the coming of a thief, Jesus reminds us to be awake and vigilant lest we be caught unprepared for his coming. Death comes unexpectedly. We must at all times be ready. |
