We believe in the power of intercession. We know the value of prayers offered for another. In today's gospel, Peter's mother-in-law was afflicted with a severe fever and the people begged Jesus to heal her. Jesus rebuked the fever and it left the woman. Let us not underestimate the value of intercession for people who are in need. Let us fervently pray for them. It will be rightly heard. |
