What is your reason for existence? [in French "raison d'etre"]. Mary was born to be the Mother of God. The gospel gives a fulfillment quotation. The promise given by Isaiah was to be fulfilled "She will bear a Son and shall name him Emmanuel." The Blessed Virgin is destined to give birth to Jesus. What is our task? Have we discovered and accomplished our mission? |
