If we have done something wrong, our conscience will continuously haunt us. That was the experience of Herod. He ordered the beheading of John. He knew the forerunner of Jesus was already dead but he was still disturbed by what was happening. Our formed conscience is indeed powerful. This inner voice will invariably bother those who do evil. |
