There is no substitute for being prepared. Whether in war, examinations or any endeavor, the one who is prepared succeeds. Today's gospel is a call to vigilance for the master's return. He who is found waiting will get his reward. Our Christian life is a joyful waiting. We await Christ's return in glory. Let us "gird our loins and light our lamps" and be found prepared to meet our Lord. |
