Those who remain silent amidst forces that threaten life and liberty are "tasteless" Christians. They are salt that has become flat, incapable of seasoning. With the racial issue in the US, with the recent avalanche of political manipulations in the Philippines, with the passive response to the call of the pope on care for our common home, our silence is a sign of being indifferent and utterly uninvolved. Salty active Christians we should be. |
