Whether we like it or not, the beautiful earth we inhabit "will pass away." This is clear in today's gospel although seen in digression (the focus is on the small letter which shall not pass from the law). People are terrified that the recent calamities and the current pandemic might signal the end times. Whether or not it is true, we can still keep our calm. Our soul is immortal. It will forever exist in eternal bliss if [and only if] we live well on earth and become the kind of persons God has always wanted us to be. |
