See things from God's perspective. Adopt God's viewpoint. In a nutshell, that is the challenge posed by today's gospel. Loving an enemy and praying for one's persecutor -- These become forms of masochism if seen from purely human standpoint. But if we look at things the way God does, we learn the meaning of complete, indiscriminating love. We just imitate God. He loves both the saints and the sinners. Truly great! Worth emulating! |
