Meek and humble of heart. That is how Jesus describes himself. Such meekness and humility say it all. His heart is totally different from ours. While our hearts beat inconsistently for love, Jesus' heart always has love as its raison d'etre. That side [heart] pierced by the soldier's lance became the fountain of grace flowing over the sinful world and frail humanity. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us, sinners. |
