What's in a name? Zechariah means "the Lord has remembered." Elizabeth means "the promise of my God." John which is from 'Yohanan' means "the Lord is gracious" or simply "God's gift. "Those are meaningful names, ladened with significance. They signalled the dawn of salvation. How about your name? Does it carry a mission? Does it signify a special role? What have you done to keep your name true to its meaning? |
