Expressing a request to keep something secret, Filipinos say, "Atin-atin lang ha?" Of course, one cannot be sure of that. News, they say, can fly. Jesus, in today's gospel sternly warned the leper not to make known his experience of getting healed. The Lord knows the messianic secrets are yet to be hidden. If we wish to be trusted, let us make every disclosure so sacred. Each violation is a blatant disrespect. |
