Is it over? Is it too much? The answer is NO. When God sends us trials, they are just enough for us. Like a nice vest, it is fitting well. Jesus declares, in this Sunday's gospel, that his yoke is easy [in Greek "chrestos" which means well-fitting]. In Palestine, animals are given yokes that fit them well. We are given crosses to bear. They are not beyond our human capacity. They are fit to us. Yes, fitting well. |
