If what we desire is within the context of mission, it is pleasing before God. If such desire is colored by wordly ambition, it becomes deplorable. The mother of James and John was very ambitious. She demanded that her two sons be given a special place near Jesus. She was reprimanded by the Lord. If we seek to please Jesus, let our words and actions be said and done for His mission and glory. |
