This year our community (of priests and seminarians)has chosen "fraternal concern" as our motto/theme. We shall always remember that we are our "brothers' keepers." Today's gospel talks about fraternal correction which is a concrete expression of fraternal concern. In the spirit of charity, it is good to sincerely approach an erring fellow and point out his/her faults. It does no help if we simply slander the person. It takes a lot of courage to correct another but it is very rewarding in the end. |
