Great and pure is a mother's love for her child. This is vividly portrayed in this Sunday's gospel. The Canaanite woman would do everything for the sake of her sick daughter. She would leave no stone unturned. Belittled and rebuffed, the woman persisted. She admitted being a dog begging for scraps. That is motherhood. A genuine sacrificing love that knows no bounds! |
