COMMITMENT OF FAITHFULNESS AND PROFESSION OF FAITH

Aware of the unique responsibility and privilege extended to me as member of this Synod which is an act of ecclesial communion of this local church of the diocese of Lucena, in the presence of Almighty God and His people (Clergy) representing the (Religious) of this diocese, pledge to participate conscientiously in this Synod with no other motive but the glory of God, fidelity to the Church and the welfare of the people of God immediately in this local Church and ultimately in the universal Church.
I declare that I will be guided by my Catholic Faith;
I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth;
I believe in Jesus Church his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died and was buried, rose from the dead and is now at the right hand of the Father;
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who came upon the apostles at Pentecost and remains with the Church today;
I believe in the holy, catholic, apostolic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
I humbly invoke the help of the blessed Virgin, Queen of Apostles and Seat of Wisdom, of St. Ferdinand and the Patron Saints of all parishes and institutions in the diocese to help me and all the members of the Synod to be faithful to our task and render it fruitful.
In the name and for the glory of the Father, the son, and the Holy Spirit.
